Dear MLA families,
This is a final reminder to all U7 to U12 members to complete the online Zone Nomination by no later than 9 pm tonight (Tuesday 13 November 2018) if you wish to be considered for selection. Thank you to those who have already entered their athletes.
The 2018 North East Metro Zone Championships will be held on Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd December at the Sydney Academy of Sport Athletics Centre at Narrabeen.
Zone nomination is open to all athletes aged U7 to U17, however, you must complete the online nomination form if you wish to be considered for selection for any event.
Under 13 to Under 17 athletes have received a separate email outlining the process for their age groups.

U7 to U12 athletes may nominate for 4 events. They also have an opportunity to nominate up to 2 alternative events to be considered if their first choice is full.
Note that for some age groups you will need to move the bar at the bottom of the page with the cursor to see all events.
Zone selection will be based on several factors including competition night results and coach input. Mosman can select a maximum of 4 participants from our club for any one U7-U12 event and final selection will be decided by the MLA Championships Team.
Attached are the DRAFT carnival not-before times for track and field events.
Please carefully consider your child’s availability and the event times and days – team selections once provided to the Zone Coordinator are final, and one child’s selection for an event may mean that another child has missed out.
PARENT DUTY
When you enter your child into a championship event, you are also signing up to 3 hours of parent duty during the carnival (whether you are a non-volunteering member or not). Any parent unable to do the parent duty should not submit a Zone entry nomination for their child.

ADMINISTRATION CHARGE PER ATHLETE
There will be a charge of up to $20 per athlete entering Zone to cover the cost of administrative help for the Championships Team. We will provide more information to all families as soon as it is known.
