When and Where?

Training for our 2017/18 Track & Field Season is every Monday at Balmoral Oval and runs throughout Term 4 (9 October to 11 December 2017) and Term 1 (15 January to 19 March 2017) of the school terms.

Times for the sessions are:

  • Tiny Tots 4:30pm-5:30pm
  • U6-U9 4:15pm-5:45pm
  • U10-U17 6:00pm-7:30pm

Our weekly training sessions are typically structured as follows:

  • Check in with Age Manager (5-10 mins)
  • Warm up for all athletes (15 mins)
  • Session 1 (20 mins)
  • Session 2 (20 mins)
  • Session 3 (20 mins)

Each week there is a rotation of activities to enable the athletes to cover training in all disciplines

  • Running including sprinting, starting, middle distance, curves, hurdles
  • Throwing including shotput, discus, javelin
  • Jumping including long jump, high jump, triple jump
