State Championships
Being a member of Mosman Athletics provides athletes with the opportunity to compete at championship events hosted by NSW Athletics.
NSW State Track and Field Championships
The HART Sport State Track & Field Championships are the culmination of the track & field competition season. The event takes place each year in March at SOPAC (Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre). Athletes in the age groups 8s to 15s progress through to this event after qualifying from their Zone and Region Championships.
NSW Junior Championships (13’s to U20)
Date: 12 to 15 March 2026
Location: Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush
Little Athletics NSW State Championships (9’s to 12’s)
Date: 21 to 22 March 2026
Location: Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, Homebush
Pathway Progression
Key components of the pathway include:
- Athletes in the 9s to 12s qualify for the NSW Little Athletics Championships via the Zone and Region pathway.
- Athletes in the 13s to 15s will benefit from a dual-pathway model, enabling qualification via the Zone and Region Championships and through an expanded list of endorsed competitions held throughout the summer, including eligible interstate events.
- Athletes in the 16s, 17s, and Under 20s will continue to directly enter the NSW Junior Championships. At the same time, many Zones and Regions will provide participatory opportunities for these age groups, supporting both participation and engagement at the local level.
- Athletes in the Open and Masters age groups will also continue to directly enter their respective State Championships.
