Congratulations to all athletes that competed at the Little Athletics Regional Carnival over the weekend. This level of competition is high and our MLA athletes rose to the occasion and produced amazing results including:
- 21 Gold medals
- 18 Silver medals
- 18 Bronze medals
A total of 57 medals compared to 42 last year is an incredible 36% increase! We had the highest participation along with our best results recorded to date. All of our athletes should be proud of their effort and sportsmanship displayed towards their competitors and team mates during the weekend.
Although we had success across the board, special mention needs to be made of our middle distance results with 34 of our medals coming from these events. On this note, Tom Giles would like to offer any middle distance athletes (400m and higher) the opportunity to email him for advice about their training up to state and beyond at [email protected]
